About Me
Kate Seward is a poet, copywriter and founder of Wild Plum Poetry, a consultancy that uses poetry for personal transformation and celebration. She has a BA in English from Yale, an MFA in creative writing from NYU, and for a decade taught expository and creative writing at NYU, Stanford, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, while also mentoring private clients. In 2011 she left academia for advertising, and most recently was an Associate Creative Director at R/GA. Through Wild Plum Poetry she helps people become more positive and productive with one-on-one guided sessions and custom poetic affirmations. She also does poetry pop-ups at events, writing personalized poems in real time on a vintage typewriter.
